Distance Learning

FCPS provides an array of technology resources to ensure students experience a digitally rich learning environment that meets their instructional needs.

In order to ensure learning is equitable while we are 100% virtual, Bren Mar Park is able to offer a laptop to any student who needs one. FCPS laptops do not have any special software on them, so personal laptops can be used for learning. Should you need a laptop and/or assistance in acquiring Internet, please call the front office at (703) 914 - 7200.

Technology is not perfect. We understand, and we're here to help. If you are having issues with your laptop, Internet (school-provided), or accounts, follow the steps below:

1. Troubleshoot yourself by browsing the help topics created by FCPS here. If you are unsuccessful, go to step 2.

2. Contact your child's teacher to see if they have a solution. If they cannot help or are unavailable, go to step 3. 

3. Submit a ticket by calling the Parent Help Desk at 833-921-3277 (833-921-FCPS).  This will be answered by staff members between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week.  Please specify if you need an interpreter when you call. You can also submit a ticket for help online. If you haven't gotten a response within 2-3 days, or you have an emergency, go to step 4.

4. Make an appointment by calling the school (703) 914 - 7200. Appointments are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 - 11 am.
