Congratulations to Special Education Teacher Cassie Hudec on being recognized as the January 2019 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 2 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Hudec!

Below is the write up submitted by Mrs. Jess Russell, a colleague of Mrs. Hudec.

Today Mrs. Hudec was called for help in a situation where another student needed to go to the clinic for a new pair of pants. The pants in the clinic were entirely too big for this student, so Mrs. Hudec punched an extra notch in her belt and gave her own belt to this student to keep his pants up the rest of the day. This is not the first time Mrs. Hudec has gone above and beyond to make her students feel comfortable. In the past, she has done things like worn fake glasses (since she doesn't have a prescription herself) in order for one of her students to feel comfortable in his new glasses. She constantly does selfless things like this because she genuinely cares about all students.
