Heather Phythyon - Teacher

Nice to meet you! I have been at BMP for over 20 years teaching kindergarten and 2nd grade. I am an alum of St. Mary’s College of MD and Walden University. I live in Annandale, VA with my spouse and 2 sons, and our cat, Chloe.I enjoy teaching and volunteering in my community and learning about local history as well as different cultures. 

 

Houria Rayasse - Instructional Assistant

I have been teaching kindergarteners at BMP ES for over 20 years, and also worked with students of all grades who have an affinity for French culture and language in afterschool programs. My proudest moments are when our students come back to visit after graduating from FCPS schools and universities.  I am married with two grown daughters. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling and gardening.

 

Stacy Birkenstock - Teacher

Hello BMP! This will be my 29th year teaching at Bren Mar Park.  BMP is is my second home!  My daughter was a BMP Mustang when she was in elementary school and now she is going into 9th grade… so being the mom of a high schooler is my next great adventure! I am passionate about early childhood education and setting a strong foundation for students!  I love the joy that kindergarteners bring to the learning environment and they keep me smiling all day! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, road trips (especially involving food and ice cream), watching musicals, crafting, home decorating, and party planning!  

 

Sachi Roberts - Instructional Assistant

Sachi Roberts joined the Bren Mar Park team in 2019.  She was born and raised in Nagoya, Japan.  She first came to America as a foreign exchange student to attend high school in Mississippi.  Afterwards, she earned a degree in hospitality.  After marrying her husband who was in the US Navy, they lived in several different places and now he’s retired from the Navy and they settled in Northern Virginia. She has three children and is very active in their soccer, basketball and marching band activities. 

 

Katie Ambrosio - Teacher

This will be my 7th year teaching at Bren Mar Park. I went to George Mason for my undergrad and Masters degree. I like to play sports, watch sports, and take nature photos.

 

Mogy Pazoki - Instructional Assistant

Hi BMP family! I been in this school as a kindergarten IA for nearly a decade.I was subbing at Bren Mar for 15 years then I started my full time job at Bren Mar as a kindergarten assistant. I love working with children. I am married and have two grown sons and a dog. I love cooking, shopping and exercising.
